Customer Service Notification.

Notification Type: 2FA Activation and Device Fingerprint.

Impact: Security for all active users in MM2

Detail: As part of our commitment to providing an increasingly secare environment, SINCH is implementing new security measures for access to the Messaging Platform.

Starting from October 21, 2024, we will activate two important protection technologies: 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and Device Fingerprint.

What is 2FA?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to the login process.

In addition to your password, a second authentication factor will be required, which will be a code sent to your email or mobile phone.

This ensures that even if your password is compromised, third parties will not be able to access your account without this second verification.

What is Device FingerPrint ?

Device Fingerprint is a technology that identifies unique characteristics of your device, such as the browser, operating system, installed plug-ins, language, etc.

This helps detect suspicious login attempts by adding a layer of protection against fraud and unauthorized access.

How does this affect your access?

2FA: Every time you access your account, you will be asked for your password and then a code that you will receive via email or mobile phone.

Device FingerPrint: On your first login, you will be asked for a code that you will receive via email, and from that point on, this device will be registered.
If your user accesses the platform from a different device, a new code will be requested to register this new device.

We reiterate that we are committed to continuously improving the security of your account, and therefore it is essential to keep these additional protection measures activated.

Count on our support team if you have any questions!

We appreciate your comprehension.

Best Regards.
